Three chances to vote in 2011 – find out more!
24 Aug 20102011 will be a busy year for Welsh voters as they will have three opportunities to vote on three different issues. The National Assembly elections will take place, there will be a UK-wide referendum on changing the voting system for Westminster elections and there will also be a Wales-only referendum on the law-making powers of the National Assembly for Wales.
The Voices for Change Cymru will be providing information and advice to third sector organisations across Wales to help them understand what these different voting opportunities mean for them and the people they represent.
The Welsh Referendum on the National Assembly’s law-making powers in particular is something that we aim to ensure groups can understand and engage with. We have produced a new information sheet all about it which you can access here. We are also happy to come and talk to your organisation / members / service users about the referendum and the implications for the third sector or feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
You can find further information about the UK-wide referendum here and information on all three opportunities to vote from the National Assembly for Wales website here.
